Shunra's Professional Services organization delivers a variety of 'Jump Start' training programs. These programs are the best way to acquire the skill set required to optimally use the Shunra VE technology and additional performance engineering best practices.
 

Shunra Consulting offers 2 main delivery options for training, on site and off site.
 

On site programs include a 3 day training package and a 5 day training and implementation package.
 

With each program, a Shunra expert trainer will train your staff on Shunra VE and help you integrate it into your specific lab or project environment. The program will show you how to create specific test scenarios, run tests, generate reports and analyze results. Additionally the program will include best practices and hands on sessions where you and your team can run real test cases.
 

The 3 day training package covers:

• Performance engineering basics (what causes applications to slow down when deployed in a remote data center)
• Shunra VE Modeling (how to setup a lab emulation model of the network conditions of the entire enterprise network)
• Latency, bandwidth and other network impairment testing (how to conduct the actual tests, with 2 test methodologies "the performance curve" and "the remote site performance range")
• Reporting – how to communicate the results from the tests
• Analysis – find out why the slow transactions are slow
• Integration with automation tools (predominantly with HP LoadRunner, Performance Center and QTP)

The 5 day training and implementation includes all of the sessions from the 3 day agenda in addition to 2 days of implementing a mini project with the students. These 2 days cover the setup of the products in the lab and 1-2 applications that go through the test, communicate and analyze cycle.
