Gary Jackson
Chairman and CEO

Prior to becoming CEO of Shunra in 2010, Gary Jackson was CEO of security software provider Ounce Labs, executing the successful sale of the company to IBM in 2009, less than a year after taking charge. A specialist in rapid turnarounds and repositioning of companies, Gary was previously COO at geolocation provider Quova and President and COO at Ozro, a provider of contract negotiation and management software.

Gary also served in a variety of executive sales and operations roles at Vantive, a pioneer in the CRM space, where he was instrumental in the company’s explosive growth and eventual acquisition. His expertise in viral marketing techniques is guiding Shunra’s overall business strategy.

He holds a BA in Business Administration from Boston College.


Peter Sobiloff
Managing Director, Insight Venture Partners

Peter Sobiloff joined Insight in 1998 following the sale of Think Systems to i2 Technologies. Immediately prior to joining Insight, he was Vice President of Business Development at i2 Technologies. Peter was previously President of Think Systems, a supply chain management software company backed by Insight.

Peter also served as President of Datalogix, a vendor of enterprise application software for process manufacturers, and previously held senior executive roles at Ross Systems, a vendor of financial application software. Peter guided Datalogix and Ross through their initial public offerings and the sale of Datalogix to Oracle Corporation. He graduated from Baruch University with a degree in Business Administration.


Ronen Nir
Partner, Carmel Ventures

Ronen Nir Joined Carmel Ventures in February 2008 as Principal and was promoted to Partner a short time afterwards. Ronen focuses on Software, Cloud and Internet investments and is on the board of Carmel’s portfolio companies: Axxana, Amadesa, Kampyle, Perfecto Mobile and Realmatch. Before joining Carmel, he held senior executive positions at several leading hi-tech companies including Product VP at Verint Systems' ACS division and Project Team Manager at ECtel Ltd. where he was in charge of delivering large-scale, multi-million dollar projects to North and Latin America regions.

Ronen served 13 years in an elite Israeli Defense Force's Intelligence Unit where he holds a rank of Lieutenant Colonel (Res.). He holds a BA (Cum Laude) in Economics and Middle-East history from Tel Aviv University, Israel, and an MSc in Technology Management from the University of Maryland University College (UMUC).


Hilary Gosher
Managing Director, Insight Venture Partners

Hilary Gosher joined Insight in 2000. She is one of the firm’s experts in application and infrastructure software and data businesses. Prior to joining Insight, Hilary held management positions at The Monitor Group, a strategy consulting company where she focused on the healthcare, technology and finance sectors. She has also held consulting and finance positions at Marketspace, Reuters UK PLC and Sea Containers.

Hilary has a BA in Economic History and a Bachelor of Law (LLB) in Corporate Law, cum laude, from the University of Natal, South Africa. She also holds an MBA from INSEAD in France and is a current member of the Software Information Industry Association’s New York Venture Capital Roundtable.
