As someone who uses Twitter regularly, I am often asked about how it works and if it is a website only useful for marketers. What I explain is that Twitter is a site for micro-blogging and, when managed well, can be an external real-time database of information on any personal or professional interest you may have. Also, it may be used to communicate out to people that have decided to follow your updates. In fact, you can find Shunra at our Twitter page.
I have a personal account in which I follow people that I find professionally interesting, like industry analysts; IT thought leaders; and journalist. Twitter can be a great source of new ideas, up to the minute market information and yes, sometime the odd iPhone app that is a simply a must have… like the recent Mr. T quote generator, iPity, thanks to Shamus at TechTarget.
