HP provides an online community for users of HP Performance Center including HP LoadRunner users to ask questions and get to know other users. Often though, users want to connect on sites that they access regularly, or outside of HP moderation. I have highlighted some of the popular ones below. These sites are a great way to get to know other HP users that may share some of the same successes or have some of the same challenges that you do.
LinkedIn Groups:
LinkedIn has added groups as part of their professional networks. These groups include job posting, question & answers, and trade show information. These groups can strengthen and extend your existing network of trusted contacts using the LinkedIn platform. Membership to these groups requires LinkedIn membership.
· HP BTO
Facebook Groups:
Facebook hosts a number of groups for HP LoadRunner users. These groups are great because they allow you to put a name to a face. Check out these sites to see the faces of other HP Performance Center and HP LoadRunner users. Membership to these groups requires Facebook membership.
· Loadrunner (a different group)
Google Groups:
There are many HP LoadRunner and related groups in Google groups. Google groups is a free service from Google where groups of people have discussions about common interests. Many of these groups require a subscription to view and participate in the conversation. Those that do not are often plagued by spam and unrelated content. If a group requires a subscription simply sign up for or log into Google and request access to the group.
Some of the larger groups include:
· Manual QA Concepts or Mercury Automation Concepts
· QA Test
Yahoo! Groups:
Yahoo! Groups operate as both electronic mailing lists and Internet forums. These groups are similar to the Google groups above.
This is just a sample of some of the groups that will allow you to connect with other load testing professionals. There are also many great regional groups, specialized online groups, job groups, and more. Please feel free to comment with your favorites below.
Note: Shunra Software and HP Performance Center are not affiliated with these sites or groups and are not responsible for the accuracy or appropriateness of any content placed on them.
