I recently read a very interesting white paper that I found on CIO.com titled “Providing Around-the-Clock Customer Satisfaction.”  It focused on how critical APM was to any business where online customer experience can have immediate revenue implications.  There are some interesting statistics in the paper noted from a survey done by IDG Research Services on the benefits associated with APM.    For example, only 69% of CIO’s consider their organizations to be highly effective in managing problems that impact an application’s availability and performance.  Download this white paper (Note: This will redirect you to an external site and registration is required for this paper.)

Good info in the WP. Positive end user experience is critical for website/application adoption, and WAN emulation testing (as part of APM) is the one method that allows us to “experience” the exact performance that the remote end user sees…prior to website/app launch.
