In its Apps Blog, The Guardian addresses the growth of mobility, citing Gartner research that states an expectation of 102 billion app downloads in 2013. The research also predicts $26 billion dollars in app revenues, 17% of that from in-app purchases. Astonishingly, the research also predicts nearly 270 billion app downloads annually by 2017.
