In September 2012, the World Quality Report detailed global challenges facing mobile development, testing and deployment, citing a lack of expertise, tools and resources as the reason behind poor mobile app testing practices. In this article from SD Times, some guidance for mobile app quality is presented: "App Quality Alliance (AQuA), the mobile industry’s non-profit organization supporting quality app development, has released a new version of its Best Practice Guidelines with extended support for developers in the areas of network optimization and battery usage."
